Controlling tree diseases
Trees are usually expensive to purchase and install, and will be, in time, a major part of your landscape. Therefore, adding a new tree to the landscape should be done with a fair degree of consideration.
If selected correctly a quality tree can add considerable value to your property. Besides the economic value a quality tree can add, they also provide shade, privacy, and beauty.
That's why it's so important to take extra care with your ornamental trees and shrubs.
Trees growing in an urban setting are especially vulnerable to tree disease. Common causes of tree disease include damage from wind, extreme heat, cold or moisture; stress on the root structure from major changes in its natural environment due to development, including excessive backfill, soil compaction, hardpan or poor drainage; and insects.
Prevention is key
Many times when you see tree damage caused by disease, it may be too late to do anything. Our tree care programs include preventative measures that help avoid these problems.
Systemic Insect Control: Reduces current insect population and protects from future damage of aphid, caterpillars and inchworms.
Fungicide: To control fungi like apple scab, black spot and other outbreaks of spores in late spring. |
